Small, neoclassical, bust-length profile portrait relief within an oval medallion. The medallion is made of plaster. The upper surface of the medallion has been polished to imitate marble. The underside of the medallion is rough, somewhat pock-marked, and unfinished. The upper surface of the medallion is marked "PAVL. FRISIVS." beneath the base of the portrait bust in block capitals.

Oval plaster medallion with profile, portrait bust of Voltaire in center and "VOLTAIRE" etched under portrait. "R-2-(66)" written in pencil on reverse. Medallion is in similar style and construction to 01.C.07, 01.C.21, 01.c.32, M-P38-1, and MF85-156.

The underside of the medallion is smooth, and is inscribed "Locke" in horizontally-oriented, free-hand script. The top center of the medallion has been fitted with a small brass loop. This object bears no identifying marks with regard to its maker or date. Several large cracks are visible running through the upper and lower surfaces of the medallion (they have all been repaired). Various chips in the upper surface edges of the medallion are visible as well. The underside of the medallion bears two additional markings: (1) "R-2-(101)" is inscribed in pencil near the top of the medallion; (2) "9-4" is inscribed in pencil along the right side of the medallion.

Obverse: bas-relief profile portrait of William Penn Reverse: incised text in script: "William Penn" Surface is gold-painted. U.82 21 is marked on back. Medallion is in similar style and construction to 01.C.05, 01.c.07, 01.c.21, 01.c.32, and MF85-156.

The underside of the medallion is smooth, and is inscribed "Newton" in horizontally-oriented, free-hand script. The top center of the medallion has been fitted with a small brass loop. This object bears no identifying marks with regard to its maker or date. A large, horizontal crack is visible running through the upper and lower surfaces of the medallion (this crack has been repaired). Various chips in the upper surface edges of the medallion / losses of gilding are visible as well. The underside of the medallion bears a small red-and-white tag that reads "U.82 / 20".

After 1769-1780 bas-relief by Sylvanus Bevan. One of two identical Wedgwood medallions of Penn. White on black jasper dip medallion. Framed in modern shadow box with traditional styling. Metal toothed bezel secures medallion in frame. Inscription on rear: "Wedgwood' (stamped in capital letters) and "W. Penn" (in cursive).
