Federal mahogany sideboard. Overhanging rectangular top surmounted on the sides and back by a shallow and domical-shaped splashboard. The front consists of a single deep drawer above a deep scooped apron flanked by twin banks of six graduated drawers, all of which have cockbeaded edges and ringed round brass pulls. Each andiron has ringed and paneled ovoid knob, raised on elaborately shaped standard on paneled and ringed sections which rest on pair of Baroque-style scroll legs of compressed bombe outline which are raised on four small bulbous feet; rail is raised on round leg surmounted with conforming brass knob. Empire mahogany upholstered reclining chair of Roman curule form with rounded X-form profile of opposing scrolls which flair backward slightly along tall back. Arms roll downward into comma-shaped open scrolls which contrast with scroll of seat. X-shaped, curved legs are of square section and end in casters. Each chair has a curved and backward-scrolled crest rail inlaid with a plain reserve of highly figured mahogany veneer and raised above a slender slat of opposed S-scrolls, terminating in rosettes and leafage upon a reeded crossbar. The tapered rounded stiles continue along the upholstered slip-seat and slender rail and are raised on plain sabre legs. (Murphy D. Smith, "Due Reverence," 1992).

Philadelphia Classical drop-leaf pedestal table. Rectangular overhanging top, hinged with boldly scalloped shallow drop-leaves which are raised on hinged swing-supports flanking a cockbeaded frieze drawer, with brass pull at each end above cockbeaded edge moldings and protruding corners suspended with stepped ring drops.
