Model of a fireplace and tall chimney. The fireplace has a sliding mantel door and is decorated in black ink with leaf boughs, architectural details, and an illegible genre scene at the top center. Above the fireplace mantel, on the front of the chimney, is an overmantel landscape and two round, rotating vents. Both the fireplace and overmantel are composed of brown paper, while the rest of the fireplace and chimney are covered with blue paper. There is a small hole in the bottom left corner of the fireplace, and a metal eyehole screw in the bottom right corner. At the top of the chimney is a small metal pipe and a damper, which can be opened and closed with a lever accessible inside the hearth. "No. 4" is inscribed at the top of the chimney. Unsigned and undated.

Model of a fireplace with a sliding mantel door. It is covered in brown paper and decorated with black ink with architectural details, faux marbling, and a leaf bough on top center of mantel. There are square holes in each of the four corners of the fireplace. A damper is inside the top of the chimney, which can be opened and closed with a lever accessible inside the hearth. "N. 1" is inscribed within the ink semi-circle at the top of the chimney. There is a small hole in the bottom reverse of the model, labeled "C." Unsigned and undated.

There is no communication between the three chambers, nor between them and the double chimney consisting of two concentric flues. All walls are double. Two wire pulls. Side and top are labeled "Presented 3 November 1797" in handwritten ink. Two red seals are affixed to top of box, with monogram "AC."

This ship's log consists of a vertical-turned brass rod with a slot in the top for a pulley or fulcrum which is missing. A pair of shorter rods support between them a pivoted brass quadrant which is scaled but not numbered. The base is scaled radially from the axis of the quadrant.
