Almost all the material is glossed in Spanish and includes songs, phrases, sentences, examples of whispering (to determine what changes the phonemic system of Pocomam Central undergoes when whispered), speaking slow (to determine syllabic boundaries), and for lexicostatistic purposes, the Pocomam Central equivalent of M. Mayers' 250-list as presented in _Languages of Guatemala_." The name of the speaker is not identified in the collector's documentation. The texts are explained in Spanish but are not glossed, since the informant was not capable of performing this task. No other informant from Palín could be obtained." The full original program is described in the collector's documenation as follows: "A 1 hour 25 minute dialogue in Pocomam Central between [a 22 year-old female Ladina (mixed Spanish-Indian) of Chinautla] and a monolingual, approximately 32-year-old female of Chinautla. The conversation ranges over many topics including sorcery and disease, the Indian woman having had considerable first-hand experience as a vicitm of sorcery. The Pocomam Central equivalent of some Spanish sentences are elicited from the informant, and she also gives a short text in Pocomam Central and Spanish (the text has been glossed.) Although this informant has the Pocomam Central phonological system intact, she is not a fluent speaker, since her Pocomam Central grammar and vocabulary are sub-standard."
