Letterbook kept by Hawkins at the Creek Agency, including outgoing letters, memoranda, speeches to and from Creek and Choctaw Indians; materials relating to Indian affairs; the attempt to survey the St. Mary's River; Spanish-U.S. relations. Includes a "Sketch" of the Indians at the Creek Agency; political organization, agriculture, manufacture, public establishments; justice. Materials written variouslv at Fort Wilkinson, Tukebatchee, and Coweta.
