Some of the subjects discussed are astronomy, botany, electricity, natural history, and Indian missions. Also included is Roger Curtis' "Journal of the Moravian Mission to Labrador."

Background note

The Royal Society was founded in 1660, and the main object of the Society remains the promotion of science.
