This collection of Sir George Savile correspondence contains a small but content rich group of documents relating to the American Revolution. The documents reflect the imperial point of view on American affairs. The collection includes correspondence between Savile and imperial officials, a memorandum on crushing the American Revolution, an analysis on the North American trade, and some documents from the colonies that protested imperial policies. All of the documents are photocopies of originals held elsewhere.
