Abstract

One volume contains songs for guitar and piano, the other compositions and arrangements for guitar. Peale and his wife copied some, if not all, from the works of various composers.

Background note

Benjamin Franklin Peale was a son of Charles Willson Peale, and a naturalist, paleontologist, and traveler. He was elected to the American Philosophical Society in 1833.
