These papers are mostly typed transcripts of letters, documents, and notes, relating to the history and construction of the Pennsylvania State House and its restoration in the early twentieth century.

These papers include letterbook copies of two letters to Benjamin Franklin, and a paper on colds that Perkins inscribed for Franklin, "A few thoughts on epidemic colds or catarrhal fevers" (1768).

These accounts include ledgers (1750-1763), daybook (1758-1761), miscellaneous receipts, and James Franklin's estate papers.

This journal includes a record of Wood's travels to Niagara Falls (N.Y.) and Quebec, and professional activities in Philadelphia.

This collection includes family letters of the Eccles, Jones, and Lanneau families of North Carolina and Florida. Some letters were written from Philadelphia (and speak of the Peale family), New York, and New Haven.

These manuscripts include versions of "Cinq-Mars," "Stello," and "Poemes." The manuscripts on these microfilm reels were compiled by Irving Massey from originals in the Musee Condé, and in a private collection in France.

These concern James Glen, Governor of South Carolina from 1743 to 1756, and John Forbes, Colonel and later Brigadier General in the British Forces stationed in North America. There are references to South Carolina politics and government, Indian policy, and the French and Indian War.

This film includes the account of Luigi Castiglioni's travels in America from 1785-1787, which he published as "Viaggio negli Stati Uniti dell'America Settentrionale...1785, 1786 e 1787" (1790). Also included is the account of his travels in England and France, 1784-1785.

These reels include letters to George Ord in Pennsylvania (1830-1869) and letters to Charles Edmonstone and sisters-in-law Eliza and Helen Edmonstone. There are also extracts of four volumes of observations on birds recorded by Norman Moore (1862-1871) and letters to Moore.

The correspondence is written chiefly from Priestley in America (1790-1802). The printed works include Priestley's "Syllabus of a Course of Lectures on the Study of History" (1765), John Aikin's "Heads of Chemistry" (1781), and a catalog of books belonging to the Warrington Academy (1775).

These papers include accounts of Peale's Museum, including records and accessions (1804-1842), and current expenditures (1808-1819), and papers relating to Charles Willson Peale, Rembrandt Peale, and Titian Ramsay Peale.

These letters are to Rev. Theophilus Lindsay and Rev. Thomas Belsham pertaining to natural history, science, and theology.
