Abstract:  

13 reels. Accompanied by a guide. Personal, financial, legal, and official correspondence, letterbooks, and diaries. Lincoln was involved in public life in Massachusetts, served as a major general in the Continental Army in both the northern and southern theaters, and was the first Secretary of War appointed by Congress. Included in the collection is material relating to other Lincoln family members. Originals are in the Massachusetts Historical Society.

Includes letters and documents pertaining to Pickering, Henry Knox, John Sergeant, Jasper Parrish and Samuel Kirkland; relates to New York and Western Indian affairs, principally Iroquois, but also Nanticoke, Shawano, Delaware, Wyandot, Miami, Seneca.
